Brandon, only 20 years old, moved from San Diego to San Francisco to go to college just three weeks before he died.

His mother, Christine Evans, describes him as someone who was always thinking of others. She says he had recently gotten a job helping troubled youth and was using his talents as an amateur boxer to coach kids.

On the night of his murder Brandon went to Golden Gate Park with some friends to listen to music. He was shot after going to get his cell phone from his car. His mother says Brandon was getting the phone because he didn’t want to miss a call from his cousin who was going through some personal problems. She said that was a testament to his caring nature.

No one knows exactly what happened, but shortly after reaching his car, Brandon was shot in the back from a long range bullet.

He was able to return to his friends, collapsing at the feet of a female friend and pointing to his wound, unable to speak. Paramedics were called immediately, but the bullet had ricocheted off of a bone and hit Brandon’s aorta. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

His family has placed a memorial rock at Golden Gate Park to commemorate his death.

Since his death, his mother has been trying to find those responsible for Brandon’s murder. For the past three years, she has been visiting San Francisco and passing out fliers about what happened to her son, hoping that someone will come forward with information.

This past weekend, she also arranged for a plane to fly over the city with a banner with Brandon’s picture and the statement “Who killed my son.” Christine says this is the fourth time that she has had the banner flown, and although no one has come forward with any new information, she is still hopeful.

“It’s been three years, I know there are a lot of people out there who know who did this. We just need more information,” says Christine.

Anyone with information on Brandon’s murder is urged to contact the San Francisco Police Department. There is $100,000 dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of any possible suspects.

The city of Saco was the venue for a celebratory “Million Mile Joe” parade that featured, a giant odometer float powered by six people spinning life-sized hamster wheels, Biddeford High School student-made floats, Westbrook High School marching band and color guard, Saco Middle School Marching Band, Shoestring Theater stilt walkers, and over-the-top costumed characters.

Joe’s 1990 Honda Accord has taken him one million miles over the past 15 years, a feat that speaks to the reliability of his Honda as well as the dedication of its driver to reach this unique milestone.

What a great idea to welcome the new students of  the Oxford Preparatory Academy with flying an airplane banner!

The first Oxford Preparatory Academy Charter School opened in Chino a year ago and outshined all other  students already after their  first year. They are  significantly better than students in the state, county and Chino Valley school district in the 2011 Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) test given to second through 11^th graders.

Tom King Aerial wish the second Oxford Preparatory Academy opened in Mission Viejo on September 6th, 2011 great success in their first year, too.

But cartoon strip fan Kevin Timpson had no problems after he enlisted the help of a cartoonist to help him pop the question. Knowing his girlfriend Cierra Howard was a huge fan of the cartoon strip F Minus in his local paper he arranged for his marriage proposal to be included in the latest work.

As the 23-year-old sat down to read the latest offering she was stunned to see her name on a banner flying from the strip’s cartoon airplane. ‘

When she looked up her boyfriend of a year was down on one knee, holding a ring.

The cartoon was run in 150 papers, including the Sacramento Bee which Mr Timpson and his girlfriend read every day.

Miss Howard said she was thrilled and loved how he proposed. Mr Timpson said he had been looking for an original way to propose  and make her laugh. She has a really good sense of humor.’
